Rehabilitating men and women who are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol and have landed somewhere in the criminal justice system has proven a productive method of curbing repeat drug related offenses for people that do receive treatment. For criminal justice clients in Emory that do agree to take part in treatment in drug and alcohol rehab centers, even if not of their own choice as is sometimes ordered by the judge, these clients have a much better chance at dealing with the root of the issue so that they can stay abstinent and off of being implicated in drug related criminal acts.
