Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a type of drug rehabilitation facility which works to deal with drug and alcohol addiction problems and mental health disorders which may be co-occurring. In a PHP center, the treatment client in rehabilitation takes part in a variety of rehab activities and methods in the day and then returns home in the evening. This is carried out several days per week, all dependent on the seriousness of the drug problem. Partial Hospitalization can be helpful for addicted people in Three Rivers who may not be able to afford long-term inpatient care, or for those who are unable to be away from their households for extensive lengths of time. While in Day Treatment, individuals participate in traditional counseling and therapy for drug and alcohol addiction issues while at the same time addressing psychological problems which could keep them from staying abstinent after rehab is complete.
